Boardwalks

ATS boardwalks are designed around project requirements, site conditions, elevations, and intended use. Our experienced Bridgeineers™ establish the alignment and layout for straight, curved, and transitioning boardwalk configurations.

ATS constructs boardwalks using pressure-treated structural timber and proven heavy-timber construction methods. Pile-supported construction provides a durable foundation while allowing boardwalks to cross wetlands, waterways, uneven terrain, and other challenging areas.

Structural connections are selected for the intended application and exposure conditions. ATS utilizes heavy-duty fasteners, through-bolts, rods, and other connection hardware as required to provide dependable structural performance and long-term outdoor service.

Boardwalks can incorporate pedestrian railings, curb systems, transitions, and other features based on project requirements and intended use. ATS can construct boardwalk systems for public, recreational, commercial, golf course, and private applications.
